    Abstract

    An amphiphilic polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) with a uniform molecular weight was synthesized by anchoring short hydrophilic organic tail groups at a corner of the POSS. The amphiphiles self-assembled to form vesicles in water and nanosheets in organic solvents.
