N2 - The copper ore used was copper sulfide concentrate. The energy source of cultivation was sulfur or ferrous sulfate. The leaching of the copper ore with S° or Fe2+ enrichment culture was carried out under the condition of pH 2 or less. For the selective bacterio leaching of CuFeS2, it is necessary to feed the ore particle with oxygen and to control Eh value in the range from 0.6v to 0.7v. In leaching with feeding little oxygen, the electrochemical leaching is decreased and FeS2 is leached. This phenomenon is explained on the assumption that oxygen is taken away from the surface by the Fe2+ enrichment culture.
