Second harmonic generation in crystallized glass fibers with nano- and oriented-crystalline structures

Abstract

Second harmonic generation (SHG) and propagation loss have been measured on nano-crystallized optical fibers from a tellurite based glass. Angular dependence of SHG intensity and low propagation loss (0.15 dB/cm) at 1.55 μm are reported.
