Abstract
The second order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of a disperse red 1 derivative (DR1) have been investigated. We synthesized an amphiphilic copolymer of N-dodecylacrylamide (DDA) with DR1 (p(DDA/DR1)). Hetero-deposited polymer nanosheets consisting of p(DDA/DR1) and NLO non-active pDDA were prepared by the alternate deposition with Langmuir-Blodgett technique. The second harmonic generation (SHG) of the polymer nanosheets was characterized by Maker-fringe method. The hetero-deposited polymer nanosheeets were hybridized with gold nanoparticle and its SH light intensity at 532nm was enhanced by localized surface plasmon resonance.
