Abstract
Amphiphilic copolymers of N-dodecylacrylamide (DDA) with nonlinear optical (NLO) active molecule (DR) (p(DDA/DR)) were synthesized. Hetero-deposited polymer nanosheets consisting of p(DDA/DR) and NLO non-active pDDA were prepared by the alternate deposition with Langmuir-Blodgett technique, and coupled with gold nanoparticle layers; a gold nanoparticle monolayer was coated with hetero-deposited polymer as single-layer structure, and another gold nanoparticle monolayer was overcoated on the substrates as sandwich structure. The second harmonic generation (SHG) was characterized by Maker-fringe method. The SH light intensity of polymer hybrid nanoassemblies at 532 nm was enhanced by localized surface plasmon resonance exited at 1064 nm.
