Abstract

With a combination of nonlinearly chirped fibre Bragg gratings, second- and third-order dispersion compensation for 1.6 and 3.5ps pulses transmitted over a 66km long dispersion-shifted fibre around the zero-dispersion wavelength is demonstrated for the first time.
