N2 - Ionic fragments of BF3 produced by the B 1sa2 photoexcitation have been mass analyzed in coincidence with the resonance spectator B KVV Auger electrons. Dissociation from the BF3+ states with one outer-valence hole produces only BF2+, while dissociation from the BF3+ states with two outer-valence holes and one electron excited to the a2 orbital produces predominantly B+. Dissociation producing B+ or F+ from the BF3+ states with one outer-valence hole, one inner-valence hole, and one excited electron occurs in competition with the autoionization.
