Abstract

Titanium (Ti) and its alloys are widely used in aerospace, energy chemical, biomedical, and other high-end fields due to their excellent properties. Near-net-shape technology using powders can realize green, low-cost, high-performance, and precise manufacturing of Ti and its alloys, which is helpful to further expand their application scope. In this paper, the research progress in the near-net-shape production of Ti and its alloys to date is briefly discussed in terms of powder production, processing technology, and performance and application. Future developing trends are put forward in view of the current hurdles of the field.
