Abstract
Application of advanced steam condition for the old oil fired units is very useful to improve the plant thermal efficiency, as a result, it reduces CO 2 emission and achieves the economical generating cost. Development of the heat resistant ferritic rotor combined with rotor surface cooling system is very important to realize the steam turbine with the advanced steam condition. The full scale ferritic turbine rotor has been manufactured to verify the producibility and the quality of materials. This paper describes how to develop heat resistant ferritic turbine rotors for advanced steam condition for future.
