N2 - A reliability analysis considering the soil investigation locations is applied to 12km long irrigation channel reliability assessment of vertical displacement by liquefaction. The problem includes very complex uncertainties such as statistical estimation error due to limited investigation, and model error involved in sophisticated FEM analysis. The paper provides full procedures of geotechnical reliability analysis through this design example. It was shown that the reliability analysis considering the soil investigation locations was an effective method to consider the countermeasure plan to liquefaction on the linearly structure.
