Radio-wave transparent surface containing lines loaded with impedance at regular intervals

Abstract

We found that a surface containing lines loaded with an adequate reactance and a large resistance alternately at regular intervals becomes electrically transparent. The adequate reactance is almost the value at which a loaded dipole having twice the length of an interval becomes electrically invisible. We also found that a surface containing lines loaded with another adequate reactance uniformly spaced at regular intervals becomes electrically transparent. The second adequate reactance is greater than the initial adequate reactance.
