Quantum dynamics of spontaneous magnetic flux in closed 0-π Josephson junction systems

Abstract

We present a theory for the phase dynamics of a closed 0-π Josephson junction formed by dx2 - y2-wave and s-wave superconductors in which spontaneous magnetic flux appears. We show that this system can be mapped on a quantum two-level system when the system size is small enough.
