Abstract

Thermal reaction of [Ir(Me)(H){η2-Me2Si(CH2) 2PPh2}(PMe3)2] with SiRH3 (R = n-butyl, pentyl or hexyl) resulted in silicon-carbon bond formation to give SiR(Me)H2 and [IrH22-Me2Si(CH2) 2PPh2}(PMe3)2]. Isolation of Si(n-C6H13)MeH2 was achieved by preparative gas chromatography.
