Proposal of compact folded tapered slot antenna for UWB

Abstract

This paper presents a compact tapered slot antenna (TSA) for ultra wideband (UWB) having folded fins. Antennas for UWB use often have difficulty in its miniaturization because of its low-end frequency extended to 3.1GHz. Phase dispersion is another serious problem. Our proposed TSA realizes low dispersion fluctuation and low reflection even at low frequency with compact design by folded antenna fins.
