The research status of micro-scale protrusion of diammond wheel is summarized from two respects including characterization parameters and detection methods. The principle, advantages and disadvantagas of these detection methods are analyzed respectively. The problems of the current research works on micro-scale protrusion of diamond wheel are discussed, and expectations for future research work are given.
