Abstract

Invited for this month’s cover is the group of Keiichi Tomishige at Tohoku University, Sendai (Japan). The image shows that in a biphasic reaction system (n-decane+H2O) high yields of hexanols can be produced from mechanocatalytically depolymerized cellulose.
