Preparation of polyacrylamide nano-film using amide macroclusters at the solid-liquid interface

Abstract

In this research, we utilized acrylamide macroclusters at the solid-liquid interface in cloroform as a adsorption layer. After forming adsorption layer, cloroform solutions was removed, and a low concentration of acrylamide solution in cyclohexane was injected. After 7h UV irradiation, a poly(acrylamide) film appeared on the silica surface. We analyzed molecular structure, film thickness, surface morphology, molecular weight of this polymer film using ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, ellipsometry, AFM, GPC.
