Preparation and luminescence of crystallized Ba1-XSrXMoO4 solid-solution films by an electrochemical method at room temperature

Abstract

A complete series of well-crystallized solid-solution Ba1-XSrXMoO4 films has been prepared on molybdenum substrates in an electrolytic solution containing Ba2+ and Sr2+ ions by an electrochemical method at room temperature (25°C). The SrMoO4 film showed only green emission at liquid-nitrogen temperature, strongly suggesting that it consisted of well-crystallized defect-free crystals. However, the other films did not luminesce at this temperature but showed green emission at liquid-helium temperature.
