Abstract

A numerical method for simulating gravitational flows in atmospheric conditions is presented. This is based on the preconditioning method, Roe's Riemann solver, the 4th-order compact MUSCL extrapolation, and the LU-SGS scheme. The fundamental equations for governing condensate flows with homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleations are transformed to the preconditioned equations. Natural convections with and without condensation at 1g and 0g around a circular cylinder are numerically investigated.
