Precipitation of calcium phosphate on anodically oxidised bioabsorbable magnesium alloy

Abstract

Surface morphology of pure magnesium was controlled by anodising voltage. The porous anodised surface showed higher concentration of calcium phosphate than the smooth anodised surface during 40-h immersion in the physiological solution. The concentration of calcium phosphate was slightly decreased by autoclaving. Eventually, the precipitation of calcium phosphate on magnesium can be controlled by anodic oxidation and autoclaving.
