N2 - The REE extraction experiments using weathered slates with different weathering levels reveal that REEs are mainly removed as truly dissolved species from the non-weathered black slate and conversely as colloidal particles from the weathered slate. Further, the state of each REE in colloidal particles with different weathering levels is different. If colloidal particles are concerned with chemical weathering and elemental transport, the fractionations among tri-valence REEs could be caused.
