Abstract

Tensile, tear, impact toughness and static fracture toughness tests were carried out on non-modified and modified 6061 aluminum alloys conducted with homogenization at two different temperatures and cooling at two different cooling rate after solution treatment. Based on the results, the possibility to substitute Mn for Cr was judged.
