Abstract

A study was carried out to explore the structures and electronic properties of 2PY and its hydrogen-bonded clusters by using various spectroscopic methods. It was confirmed that 2PY has two close lying electronic states in the S1 region. The effect of the electronic excitation on the hydrogen bond strength was also determined.
