Plasma excitation by vortex flow

We propose a new mechanism to excite the plasma oscillation lying below the superconducting energy gap in high-Tc cuprate superconductors. The vortex motion in the flux flow state is strongly coupled to the plasma oscillation and is modulated with the plasma frequency by exciting the plasma. The excited plasma decays, emitting electromagnetic wave outside the superconductor. The power of the emitted electromagnetic wave whose frequency is in the range from 100GHz to TeraHz is estimated to be extremely strong.
