Abstract
The thermo and photo-luminescence of zinc silicon nitride doped with divalent manganese was analyzed. X-ray powder diffraction analysis was performed using Ni filtrated Cu Kα radiation. Fluorescence spectrophotometer equipped with a xenon lamp as an excitation source was used to measure the excitation and emission spectra. The Eu2+ ions in LaEuSi2O2N3 were found to produce a broad red emission.
