Phonon trigonal warping effect in graphite and carbon nanotubes

Abstract

Trigonal warping-type effects in the phonon dispersion relations of graphite were directly measured based on the wave vector selective nature of the DR Raman process combined with quantum confinement of the wave vectors in low-dimensional systems. Valuable information on the anisotropy of the 2D graphite phonon dispersion relations was obtained.
