Abstract
We report the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in a 49-year-old woman with primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). Livercirrhosis due to PBC was strongly predicted because of highexpression of serum antimitochondrial antibodies (AMA). Hepatic dynamic MRI study with Gd-EOB-DTPA was performed for theassessment of an indication of liver transplantation, and we foundthe periportal enhancement effect in hepatobiliary phase. Thisnew finding would reflect intrahepatic new formation ofcholangiole or cholestasis.
