Performance of glass RPC in streamer mode for irradiating coherent photons

Abstract

We have tested the RPC operated in streamer mode irradiating the laser light, and investigated its properties. We found that the gas in the RPC can be ionized in two photon absorption process. The laser irradiation method is useful technique to investigate the characteristics of RPC systematically.
