Pentaquark in Lattice QCD

Abstract

We present results of our numerical calculation of the mass spectrum for the pentaquark states in quenched lattice QCD. It is found that the spin-parity assignment of the lowest Θ(uudds) state is most likely spin-1/2 and negative parity. We have also calculated the mass of the charm analog of the Θ and find that the Θc(uuddc) state lies much higher than the DN threshold, in contrast to several model predictions.
