Optimal excitation frequency for delamination identification of laminated beams using A0 Lamb mode

Abstract

Numerical investigations on optimal excitation frequency of actuator, which can lead to the strongest reflections from a delamination, have been performed when using A0 Lamb wave mode. From the results, it can be found that the optimal excitation frequency relates to the natural frequency of a local region containing the delamination.
