A general theory of controlled quantum dissipation, based on the correlated driving-dissipation equations (CODDE) was constructed. The theory was based on quantum dissipation formulation for open quantum systems. The quantum disspation formulation treated both the initial canonical ensemble and subsequent reduced control dynamics and an associated scheme of backward propagation was also presented. It was observed that the control theory was applied to the vibration of the hydrogen fluoride molecule embedded in a non-Markovian dissipative medium.
