Optically active tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines and their circular dichroism in monomeric and dimeric forms

Abstract

Metal-free and copper derivatives of tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines containing four (1R)-(-)-or (1S)-(+)-camphor units have been synthesized and their circular dichroism (CD) has been studied: in monomeric state, R and S isomers showed mainly positive and negative CD signs, respectively, while CD pattern in a cofacial dimeric state suggested that R and S isomers stack in left- and right-handed helix, respectively.
