Optical investigations of YbCrO3 under high magnetic fields. II. Cr3+-Yb3+ two-exciton absorption

In YbCrO3, we have observed Cr3+-Yb3+ two-exciton absorption spectra (A-E bands) corresponding to the 4A22E, 2T1 transition of Cr3+ and the 2F7/22F5/2 transition of Yb3+. Under high magnetic fields, we have found that a bound state appears on the lowest energy side of the A band and has a strong dependence on external magnetic fields.
