Observation of the quantized critical current in a superconducting quantum point contact

Abstract

Quantization of the critical current has been confirmed in a superconducting quantum point contact consisting of a split-gated superconductor-(two-dimensional electron gas)-superconductor junction. Both the critical current and the conductance show a stepwise change as a function of the gate voltage.
