Observation of cyclotron resonance on GdSb

Abstract

Cyclotron resonance (CR) measurements on a single crystal of GdSb were performed in the temperature range from 50 to 1.7 K to determine the cyclotron effective mass. From the angular dependence of the absorption lines, the angular dependence of m*CR was obtained. Results indicated that the observed CR was due to the cyclotron motion of the carrier in the γ branch.
