Abstract
We study several types of tree-level improvement in the Yang-Mills gradient flow method in order to reduce the lattice discretization errors in line with Fodor et al. [J. High Energy Phys. 09 (2014) 018.JHEPFG1029-847910.1007/JHEP09(2014)018]. The tree-level O(a2) improvement can be achieved in a simple manner, where an appropriate weighted average is computed between the plaquette and clover-leaf definitions of the action density E(t)
