Numerical simulation of life-cycle residential energy efficiency

Abstract

This research carries on the numerical analysis to the residential energy consumption and cost during life cycle, based on the occupants' life style and family structure change. The results show that along with the regional difference, the saving effect on LCE and LCC of every energy conservation technology is different. Especially in the hot summer and cold winter regions, optimal energy conservation and efficiency can be obtained while the housing is well-insulated and airtight building envelope coupled with solar energy.
