Numerical evaluation of electromagnetic force induced in high tc superconductor with grain boundary

Abstract

This paper describes a new method to calculate electromagnetic force acting between high Tc superconducting material and permanent magnet, where the effect of grain boundary iu the high Tc superconductor is taken into account. The results show that hysteresis of the electromagnetic force is strongly affected by existence of the grain boundary.
