Abstract
We approach numerically the spin accumulation and the excess resistance due to a static domain wall (DW). It is shown that the length scale of the spin accumulation is of the DW width. Taking into account the irrelevance of exchange coupling to DW dynamics, the excess resistance due to a static DW is calculated. We confirm that this irrelevance is crucial for the observed enhancement of the resistance due to a DW.
