Abstract

We have developed a computer-aided analysis tool for shadowgraph and schlieren optical systems by combining computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and ray-tracing method. Investigation of the effect of shape and location of optical components has been succeeded by using this technique. It opens a way to develop a computer-aided analysis tool for optimization of optical systems in laboratory.
