Abstract
The 5×5 element phased array of the log-periodic dipole array (LPDA) antenna with a 3:3:1 bandwidth was numerically analyzed. The scan patterns of three models with different array spacings were examined in terms of the actual gain, the sidelobe level (SLL) and scan angle deviation. The method of moments was used for the numerical analysis. Thin wire approximation was used in the numerical analysis and the method of moments (MoM) was employed for the different radii of wire segments.
