Nuclear moments and charge radius [Formula Presented]Hf from optical measurement of hyperfine structure

Abstract

The hyperfine structure of the radioactive [Formula Presented]Hf has been measured by means of laser spectroscopy. The magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments [Formula Presented]Hf are determined: [Formula Presented]=-0.62(3)[Formula Presented] and [Formula Presented]=+2.6(2) b; the sign of μ[Formula Presented] has been shown to be negative. It has been shown [Formula Presented]Hf has almost the same nuclear charge radius [Formula Presented]Hf.
