Abstract

We propose a novel high-speed and highly efficient TDM demultiplexing scheme using synchronous homodyne detection with coherent optical Nyquist pulses based on time-domain orthogonality. An 80 Gbaud Nyquist TDM signal was successfully demultiplexed to 10 Gbaud with a high SNR.
