Nonlinear Interaction Between Optical Pulses from High-Repetition Gain-Switched DFB-LD in Optical Fiber

Abstract

Interaction forces between propagating pulse pain from a gain-switched distributed-feedback laser-diode are observed. The measured interaction forces are greater than that theoretically predicted due to initial deviations from the ideal soliton pulse shape.
