Abstract

We developed a novel flow plasma system which could continuously treat water. Atmospheric nitrogen molecules entering the plasma were decomposed into the constituent atoms. Successive formations, first nitrite, then nitrate ions, could be explained by a thermodynamic model and reactions with in situ formed H2O2.
