New word pre-selection method based on an extended redundant hash addressing for continuous speech recognition

Abstract

In this paper, a new word pre-selection method called 'extended redundant hash addressing method' is proposed. This method extends the redundant hash addressing method to word spotting from continuous speech. Moreover, the improvement of the trigram extraction makes the matching score more accurate than the redundant hash addressing method. The work spotting experiments showed that the proposed method gave a word spotting performance compatible to that of continuous DP matching and that the proposed method was about five times faster than continuous DP matching.
