Abstract

Superconducting oxide related compounds in the PrSrCuO system under 1 atm of O2 at 1080°C were investigated. Pr2-xSr1+xCu2O6-δ (x=0.15, 0.85 ≤ x ≤ 1.00), Pr2-ySryCuO4-δ (y=0.4, 1.43), and Pr8Sr7Cu2Ox were prepared in the system of PrSrCuO at 1080°C under 1atm of O2. The crystal structures of Pr2-xSr1+xCu2O6-δ were 2126-type (x=0.15) and superstructure (a × 3a × c) of 2126-type (0.85 ≤ x ≤ 1.00). Pr1.6Sr0.4CuO4 had the T*-type structure. The structure of Pr0.57Sr1.43CuO4-δ was related to the K2NiF4-type (T-type) structure. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern of Pr8Sr7Cu2Ox was indexed with hexagonal lattice parameters of a=10.164 and c=3.623 A ̊. Orthorhombic compounds of Pr3.8Sr3.2Ox and PrSr2Ox were prepared in the Pr-Sr-O system. All of these compounds showed semiconducting behavier.
