Abstract
The valence-band photoemission of Ni(110) shows that the two-hole satellite appears at a constant binding energy of 6.0 eV away from the 3p3d resonance in accord with earlier results, but on resonance it shifts to 6.8 eV. Interpretation of this new result in terms of the singlet and triplet satellite states is proposed.
