N2 - In this study, the neutron separation energies and the interaction cross sections for the neutron-rich p-sd and the sd shell region were studied. A new magic number was found. In particular, N = 16 for nuclei near the neutron drip line showed a new magic number in the systematics of a neutron-number dependence of neutron separation energies and the interaction cross sections.
