N2 - New superconductors, Lix(C2H8N2)yMoTe2 with 0 < x(Li) ≤ 1, have been synthesized via the co-intercalation of Li and ethylenediamine (EDA) into MoTe2. It has been found that the maximum Tconset ¼ 5:6K is observed at x(Li) = 0.5–0.75 and is higher than 3.8K for Lix(C2H8N2)yWTe2 with the same structure. On the other hand, only Li-intercalated LixMoTe2 with x ≤ 0.5 exhibits no superconductivity above 3K.
